BREATH TAKING BURJ KHALIFA

 THE MAGNIFICENT BURJ KHALIFA

A world class destination indeed, the world's tallest building with over
828m(2,716.5ft)and more than 160 stories. One of the men involved in
the design of this building said"bringing Burj Khalifa to life required a
combination of visionary ideals and and solid science".
More than 1,500,000,000.00 dollars was spent in the construction of this
majestic building. This is luxury alright! However, that is not all there is to
Dubai many people arepoor and struggle to earn a living in Dubai marking
it as one of the world'sunequal countries. But as Dr Adrian Rogers said a
countries wealth cannot be multiplied by dividing it.I am not criticising the
rapid economic growth of Dubai I am just showing concern for the 'invisible
people'.
The shopping centres of the poor.

Migrant workers sleeping on the streets of downtown Dubai

The vibrant city of downtown Dubai.

The luxurious life of the rich and perhaps the famous.

  1. Abdul - Wouldn't you say that when urban development takes place especially on a large scale as above, than that would lead to poor people getting employment in these areas. Although it would not eradicate the problem completely, i still think that urban development is helping in a certain way with unemploynemt. Even after these skyscrapers and major shoopping centre's are built, there will laways be a need for people such as the cleaming staff, maintenance staff etc.
