The Radium Beerhall is one of Johannesburg's oldest bar and grill to last. It was opened in 1929. During the 1922 Rebellion of the Reef miners who went on strike were motivated by a female activist who stood on the bar that is seen upon entry. This monument is of great significance. It is still opened today playing host to Jazz artists and South African Bands. It is also a tourist attraction site.
what is the main activity that attracts tourists in this bar? is everyone able to access the bar or is it for a certain class or race of people?
